Singaporean-born conductor Wong Kah Chun will perform with Việt Nam’s national orchestra at the Hà Nộii Opera House on Thursday 24 March 2016, his third appearance here since 2014.
Organizers of the concert announced that Wong, the artistic director of the Asian Contemporary Ensemble, will conduct Symphony No.5, a touching symphony of Felix Mendelssohn, which Wong had studied with his late mentor Kurt Masur, a world-renowned music director.

Wong, 30, won the highest prize at the 4th International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest in 2013.
He is considered one of the top Asian conductors and is highly in demand as a guest conductor with orchestras in more than 20 cities worldwide.
