Hồ Tấn Phát claimed a gold at the classic bodybuilding event for athletes with a maximum height of 160cm, while renowned bodybuilder Phạm Văn Mách snatched the second at the men’s 55kg event.
The last gold went to Đinh Kim Loan at the women’s 49kg event.
This is the seventh trophy at the Asian arena for Mách, who last year came under public criticism as he attempted to jump into show business after capturing the interest of audiences in a singing reality show.
Mách was accused of being too busy building his image in showbiz to focus on practicing his sport.
However, the 35-year-old has now matched the record seven trophies veteran bodybuilder Lý Đức has long held.
During the last day of the competition, Việt Nam also saw two silver medals won by Trương Quốc Long and the 2011 world champion, Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Linh.
Linh failed to defend her title as she only grabbed the silver medal at the women’s +49kg event.
Việt Nam brought home a total haul of three golds, five silvers, and six bronzes.
The two-day championship was organized by the Asian Bodybuilding Federation, attracting more than 200 athletes from 25 Asian countries.
