Vietnamese people’s favorite books announced

The book titled “I Am Gifted, So Are You” by Adam Khoo has just won first prize of the “FAHASA – Vietnamese People’s Favorite Book” contest, in which readers vote for the books they like most.

At the award ceremony on Friday at the Ho Chi Minh City’s  7th biennal book festival at Le Van Tam Park at Le Van Tam Park, the Japanese famous comic book “Doreamon” by Fujiko Fujio and “Kinh Doanh Theo Mang – Nghe Tuong Lai” (Internet-based Business – Job of The Future” by Tran Trung Kien won second prizes.

The third prizes went to another Japanese well-known comic book “Conan” by Gosho Aoyama and “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.

Nguyen Nhat Anh, the renowned local author for children also won two consolation prizes for his books “Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di Tuoi Tho” (Give Me A Ticket to Childhood) and “La Nam Trong La” (Leave inside The Leaves).

Launched from last August, the contest held by FAHASA Publishing House gathered around 14,970 votes from readers across the country.

The organizer said they will make the contest a biennial event to be kicked off 6 months before the city’s book festival.
