US non-governmental organization, East Meets West Foundation (EMWF), has received a license to establish its representative office inVietnam with a mission to heal war wounds between the US and Vietnam.
The organization, founded in 1988, assists in the fields of education, health care, clean water and sanitation, construction project management and repairing consequences caused by wars by building partnerships, developing opportunities and offering sustainable initiatives.
Major EMWF projects focus on children, the poor and people with disabilities in 33 cities and provinces across Vietnam.
The foundation plans to invest about US$30 million in projects in Vietnam during the period from 2012-2014.
